A CLEVELAND HEIGHTS APARTMENT DISTRICT, PART I. The apartment district in western Cleveland Heights includes buildings along Mayfield, Hampshire and Overlook Roads. A number of the three and four-story “Grand Apartment Buildings” in the district, constructed between 1910 and 1925, were designed to endure in style and construction. Through good management, these buildings continue to feature handsome exteriors, inviting landscaping and finely-crafted interior amenities, such as professionally installed cabinetry, linen closets, ceramic tile and hardwood floors.
PART II. The apartment district in western Cleveland Heights is located just “up the hill” from University Circle in Cleveland. Many grad students and young professionals attending Case Western Reserve University or working at The Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, the museums or other places in University Circle choose to live (and play) in the apartment district. In this regard the lively, eclectic Coventry Village Commercial District – – adjoining the apartment district – – features stores, entertainment, food, drink and atmosphere popular with the apartment residents.
